2. City Hall

The date of construction of the current building of the City Hall (4th in a row) is 1835. 4. Potocki Palace

5. Kornyakt's Palace

6. House of Scientists

9. Church of St. John the Baptist

12. Armenian Cathedral

13. Dominican Monastery and Cathedral

The dome of the cathedral is visible from afar. In the 1970s, the building housed the Museum of History and Religion. However, now both buildings have passed into the possession of the church. Guests can view both the monastery and the cathedral from the inside, as well as visit the services, led to the sounds of the organ, and the local bell tower.

15. Church of the Jesuits

17. Railway station

The first station was opened in 1861 by order of the Austrian authorities. In the 20th century, it could no longer cope with the increased passenger traffic, and was replaced by the current complex with spacious waiting rooms of different levels of comfort, utility rooms, a post office, a cafe and a canteen.

24. Prison on Lontskogo

The building is made in the Neo-Renaissance style. Created for the needs of the gendarmerie of Austria-Hungary. In the time of the USSR, there was a division of the NKVD here, then – the department of the Gestapo, later – an isolation ward and a department of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs. The building was converted into a museum at the direction of the SBU ten years ago. The exhibits of the exhibitions give a visual representation of the various periods of the occupation of Western Ukraine and their sad events.

25. City Arsenal

27. Powder Tower

In the 16th century, the landmark, with powerful stone walls 2.5 meters (thick), was an important part of the Lviv defensive zone. She was supposed to protect the approaches to the city from the north. There were supplies of provisions, gunpowder and ammunition in case of a siege of Lvov. The construction is officially recognized as an important architectural and military-historical monument in the Renaissance style. The tower was last restored in the 20th century.

28. High Castle Park

Thanks to its favorable location and several observation platforms, this park complex of the mid-19th century is a huge success not only among travelers, but also among the residents of the city. It is located in the central part of Lviv and occupies over 36 hectares. From the observation platforms you can admire the surroundings, as well as take great photos. Before, there was a defensive fortress of D. Galitsky on this territory. She protected the townspeople from the Mongol-Tatar yoke. Only the ruins of the fortress have survived to this day. High Castle Park has two levels: lower and upper. On the lower terrace, you can look at the historical signs created in memory of the Polish king John the Third and the ataman of the Cossacks Krivonos, as well as wonderful sculptures of stone lions. The upper level is an artificial mound, on which the Lviv TV center and TV tower are located, over 190 meters high.

29. Stryisky Park

The park complex has been located in the south of Lviv on the square of the former Stryisky cemetery since the 19th century. Initially, there were about 40,000 trees on the territory, there were well-groomed alleys and flower beds, paved paths. In the era of the USSR, the boundaries of the park were significantly expanded (due to neighboring wastelands). Now the complex is also carefully monitored, so walking here can give you a lot of pleasure.

30. Lychakiv Cemetery

A non-standard architectural landmark, whose history began over 200 years ago, is considered one of the greatest European necropolises. The territory was used for the burial of famous cultural figures, famous artists, politicians and just wealthy citizens.
